¿Qué es Tilarán?

Su altitud promedio es de unos ~562 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
El nombre “Tilarán” proviene del término maleku tilajari, que significa “lugar donde llueve” (ti = agua, lajari = llueve) según la tradición de la lengua indígena maleku.
Históricamente ha tenido vocación agrícola, ganadera y minera, y más recientemente turística gracias a su entorno natural.
